Hello, my name is Abby Karels. I am a senior here at Coon Rapids High School and am 17 years-old.

Here are a couple things about me: I have been in Varsity Softball since freshman year, a Link Crew leader, and in the band program. Being a part of the band program changed my life and gave me lifelong friends. School has always been a vital part of my life, so I have pushed myself to letter in academics.

I joined News Crew at the end of last year because a couple of my friends thought I would enjoy it. Turns out, this is everything I want to do. Journalism is something I would like to pursue in the future, and even though I am no Emma Chamberlin, I hope I can create entertaining and quality content for you guys!

Some things NOBODY asked for: I enjoy taking mediocre pictures of my friends, creating below average paintings, and screaming the band “Beach Bunny” in the car with Morgan. I flip burgers at Five Guys in Riverdale, typebeat, for $11 an hour :) [we are hiring pls send help i work too much]

I am pro-change and hope to end up in a history book someday.
